On August 19, the COSUN 2025 “Gathering Blood, Carrying Love” charity blood donation event successfully took place. This is the fourth time since 2022 that COSUN employees have collectively acted to sustain life, conveying the city’s warmth with their warm blood. There are no grand slogans, only simple goodwill—this straightforward charity event once again witnessed the COSUN people’s original intention of “a little effort, warming others.”
Rain or shine, goodwill arrives as promised
Despite the heavy rain, it could not dampen the enthusiasm of COSUN employees for donating blood. Employees arrived one after another at the blood donation points at Pingdi playground and Baolong Park. Among them were “familiar faces” who had participated for four consecutive years, as well as “new forces” who were donating blood for the first time. Filling out forms, health inquiries, blood tests… As warm blood flowed into the blood bags through the tubes, silent promises coalesced at this moment—”I am healthy, I donate blood, I am happy,” became the most touching note of this early autumn.
In every detail, warmth is the underlying hue
At the event site, the Longgang District Blood Center prepared eight-treasure porridge, coconut juice, and water chestnut drinks for the donors, while COSUN thoughtfully prepared a “blood recovery gift pack” for each successful donor—a box of pure milk, a bag of nuts, and a bowl of chocolate, conveying sincere gratitude to the contributors. The timely release of electronic thank-you notes and internal announcements made every act of kindness visible.
“Remember to drink more water after donating blood, and don’t lift heavy objects today.” The gentle reminders from medical staff and volunteers, along with the 15-minute quiet rest area after donation… These seemingly minor arrangements made charity no longer just a cold number, but turned it into warm, tangible comfort.
The transmission of love has never stopped
There is no need to wait for greatness; the ordinary can also shine; there is no need to pursue exploits; goodwill inherently has power. From its initiation in 2022 to becoming an annual “agreement” for COSUN people today, it does not need intentional dramatization, simply because we believe: every glimmer of light can illuminate others, and every outstretched hand can lift hope.
