Bao’an, Shenzhen, a brand new city-level lifestyle landmark has officially debuted. With a volume of 180,000 sqm, direct access via Metro Line 12, and over 400 brands settling in—Shenzhen Huaide MixC World, positioned as the largest MixC World in Shenzhen to date, has become a comprehensive commercial space integrating commerce, social interaction, sports, art, and community life.

As one of the project’s key infrastructures, the signage and wayfinding system runs through every detail, from the urban interface and commercial entrance to public spaces and indoor circulation paths. COSUN participated in the implementation of the overall signage and wayfinding system for Huaide MixC World, providing stable, clear, and sustainable signage support for this high-traffic, frequently used commercial space.

01 Urban Interface and Commercial Entrance: Clear and recognizable at “first glance”

For large commercial complexes, entrance signage and the urban interface image are the first touchpoints for visitor experience. At Huaide MixC World, the commercial entrance, metro connection space, facade illuminated letters, and main entrance/exit numbering system collectively serve the following functions:
* Defining the commercial boundary
* Strengthening brand and project recognition
* Guiding urban traffic quickly into the commercial space

Signage must balance long-distance recognition and close-up reading in terms of scale, brightness, and readability, while maintaining overall coordination with the building facade and lighting environment, ensuring good recognition effects both day and night.

02 Public Circulation and Functional Wayfinding: The “Invisible Order” in high-traffic spaces

Inside the mall, the signage system is the most dense yet often the most overlooked. At Huaide MixC World, high-frequency circulation areas such as elevator lobbies, escalator zones, floor nodes, and public corridors establish a clear and orderly movement logic through floor directories, directional guidance, functional numbering, and suspended wayfinding signs. The core value of this type of signage lies in:
*Helping customers quickly locate themselves
*Reducing the cost of repeated inquiries and getting lost
*Effectively managing crowd flow during holiday peaks

They do not steal the show, yet they subtly enhance the overall efficiency and comfort of the commercial space.

03 Safety Reminders and Detail Signage: Overlooked, yet indispensable

Truly mature commercial spaces are often reflected in the details. From elevator safety warnings and fire alerts to auxiliary spaces like restrooms, mother-baby rooms, cleaning rooms, and parking lots, signage plays a vital role in safety reminders, standardized guidance, and maintaining order. These signs require:
* Clear information and legible graphics
* Durable materials suitable for long-term use
* Providing necessary reminders without compromising the aesthetic appeal of the space

In a high-intensity operational commercial environment, they are the “infrastructure” that ensures the stable operation of the space and an important component of commercial quality.

In a high-traffic, frequently used commercial space like this, the value of the signage system is often amplified during holidays. When the peak commercial period of Christmas and New Year’s Day arrives, Huai De MixC sees dense crowds, making it the optimal moment to test the actual user experience of the commercial signage and wayfinding system.
