Shenzhen University (Xili Campus) signage system, Shenzhen University was established in 1983 with the approval of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, shouldering the glorious mission of cultivating talents for the Special Administrative Region and exploring the way for the reform of national higher education. Founded 38 years ago, Shenzhen University adheres to the motto of “self-reliance, self-discipline, self-improvement”, follows the Special Administrative Region (SAR), forms the characteristics of “SAR University, Window University, Experimental University”, and cultivates more than 200,000 innovative and entrepreneurial talents of various types.

The Shenzhen University Xili Campus required a clear, modern and durable wayfinding system to support daily circulation for students, visitors, and faculty. The project covered the full range of outdoor and indoor signage, including large campus pylons, building identity signs, functional directional panels, room identification systems, and custom display structures. The solution ensures consistent visual language across the entire campus and enhances navigation efficiency in both pedestrian and vehicle zones.

Client Requirements

The university requested a signage system that would:

All signs were produced with weather-resistant materials, precision fabrication, and anti-fade finishes to ensure long-term performance with minimal maintenance.

Project Results

The completed project significantly improved navigation efficiency across the campus, reduced wayfinding confusion, and reinforced a clean and professional visual identity for Shenzhen University. The modular design also allows the campus management team to expand or update signage in the future without redesigning the entire system.
